The Rude Facebook Post That Made Me Mad
Post From Eileen Pavia

Eileen: "Thank you everyone for all the wonderful congratulations on my new girl Odette! She really has brought joy and a sense of 'home' back into my heart and my home."

Eileen: "Some might be wondering though, why such a young beautiful borzoi would be retired so early from showing. Especially one as beautiful as Odette. Odette Dick's Swan Song is her registered name. Her father held many titles before he passed. He was considered to be one of the best borzoi shown. Her mother was #2 ranked in Canada. Patti knew she was special as a puppy and I knew when I saw her as she grew. That's why both of us are horrified when we look at her now. She's a beauty but I haven't posted photos that show her true self today.
Five months ago, Odette and a young male of Patti's, made the trip to Florida to spend time with what was expected to be a caring home, while she was shown at a local dog show."
The above statement is a LIE
Patti Fitzgerald of Hi Tor Hounds gave Odette to Kayo in liu of a Stud Fee. She was supposed to be signed over to Kayo and myself. I have a copy of a hand written note Patti sent to Kayo. Kayo was going to show her, but she was soooo thin and slab sided when she arrived, Kayo and I both decided she was not ready to be shown and needed to mature more.

Arrow was sent to Kayo's place as Patti Fitzgerald did not want to grow a puppy out for Risa while waiting for him to be able to be exported to Japan - rabies free country. So Kayo graciously agreed to do that as a favor for Risa. Kayo even paid Patti $3000 up front for Arrow and $500.00 for transportation from New York to Florida.
Risa did not pay Kayo any boarding and only paid for Arrow fully January 17th!
Eileen: "They both were obviously in condition for those shows."
NOT! Odette was very thin and "slab sided when she arrived at Kayo's. Since she was now Kayo's girl, we decided she was not in good enough condition to be shown. We only show Sedona Dogs when they look excellent. Odette needed to "body up" and mature.
Eileen: "That didn't happen. Just weeks ago, another good friend of Patti's discovered the terrible conditions both Odette and the sweet Arrow, another baby I've known as a puppy, were in. Patti immediately sent her son down to bring them both home! It just so happens that was the day Patti so graciously drove me to Syracuse when I thought I would just be checking in on my precious Adelina, only to end up saying "Goodbye". Patti's son was shocked when he saw how emaciated both of the dogs were. Patti was just as shocked and ready to cry and when she sent me the photo a couple days later I was also horrified. Our sweet Odette and Arrow. You can feel every bone! If not for the fur, which is now dry, harsh and was matted, you'd see them as well. (I cut out a 3" mat of fur from her leg that must've been so painful to her. I had to cut out smaller ones as well. So sad thinking how beautiful her fur was the last time I saw her. Just before her trip down.)"
Beautiful Odette playing Joyfully at Kayo's place with Zillia and Arrow!
Eileen: "That's when Patti decided Odette had been through too much and deserved retirement.
Baloney! Most likely, that's when Janis Neilson said she would not sign off on Odette. Patti told me that she had forged Janis signature previously on AKC paperwork. Patti was having problems getting Odette signed over to Kayo and I with the AKC. We asked her about it frequently. The AKC was confused about signatures. I have text messages sent from Patti to us that I would be more than happy to share. Hmmm - maybe I should post them here...
Eileen: "That's when Patti asked me to consider adopting her. Just like Adelina though, at first I couldn't think about that, but days later I just kept thinking about her and decided I would.
I went to Odette's vet appointment and discovered that thankfully because she was in such good condition before going to Florida she still has some muscle mass to her.

Odette had muscle mass to her because she ran around Kayo's 1 acre Borzoi area when ever she wanted to. Zooming here and there just like the video above. She was a stunning wild child with a heart of gold whom Kayo misses deeply :(

Eileen: Sadly Arrow doesn't.
Again, Read the TRUTH from Lynne Hlavin:

Eileen: "Unfortunately what I also found out was she has Roundworms. She came home with me after the vet's appointment and the next morning, yup! There they were. Yuck! I haven't seen worms in a dog's poop since the late 90's. What's insane is Patti, as a considerate gesture, sent down Simparica Trio with the dogs. When her son picked them up, there were the unopened boxes! We were scared they would have Heartworms which is so prevalent in Florida!
I was asked if I was going to spay Odette. As I said, I plan to. But because of her condition I have to get her weight back to a safe level for any surgery. As well as finish the worm treatment and make sure they're gone. This photo is beautiful Odette and sweet Arrow five months ago on their trip down to Florida. The video is poor Odette today with her sunken stomach and the little muscle that she has in her back legs."

Below is a video of Odette and Arrow when they were picked up by Patti Fitzgerald's son Elliott. She is think but looks beautiful. The above is a complete exaggeration!
